B.032 Bus Driver       

 

FLSA STATUS: 

Non-Exempt

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. High School Diploma
  2. Commercial Driver’s License with P&S endorsement
  3. CPR Certification
  4. Must pass annual physical, alcohol and drug test and safety training
  5. Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card
  6. {Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Governing Board may find appropriate and acceptable}

 

REPORTS TO:

                Transportation Director

 

JOB GOAL:

To provide safe and efficient transportation so that the students may enjoy the fullest possbile advantage from the district’s curriculum and extracurricular program.

 

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Obeys all traffic laws
  2. Obseves all mandatory safety regulations for school buses
  3. Maintains discipline when students are on bus by advising passengers of appropriate behavior and reinforces established guidelines for passenger safety
  4. Reports discipline problems to the proper authority
  5. Keeps the bus clean
  6. Keeps to assigned schedule
  7. Performs pre-trip and post-trip inspections
  8. Discharges students only at authorized stops
  9. Reports all accidents and completes required report
  10. Prepares other reports as required
  11. Fuels assigned vehicle

 

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

Ten-month employee.  Salary and work year to be established by the Governing Board.
